According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the pulse reveals more than just the heart rate. Chinese pulse diagnosis is an extremely complex subject and an important diagnostic tool. This is why we take pulse readings for slightly longer than you would normally experience elsewhere.

Pulse diagnosis can give your practitioner very detailed information on the state of the internal organs, reflecting the conditions of Qi, Blood, Yin and Yang. Just as the tongue can reflect these phenomena, the pulses can also give us an indication of the overall constitution of a person and their general state of health.
