Mark Bovey, experienced acupuncture practitioner, research manager for the British Acupuncture Council and coordinator of the Acupuncture Research Resource Centre, discussing the efficacy of acupuncture
"Acupuncture has a long history as part of Chinese medicine. In Western countries it is now one of the major complementary therapies, with lifetime use in adult populations as high as 34%. Headache is one of the more common presenting conditions in acupuncture general practice and use of the therapy by headache sufferers in tertiary care has been reported at 58% in German and Austrian out-patient clinics."
